Cerritos Library is a popular learning destination for the entire community. To best serve patrons’ needs, advance registration is required for some Cerritos Library programs. How to Register In order to register, patrons must be in the City’s class registration database and have obtained a family account access PIN number and individual family member personal numbers.
On-line registration To check the availability of classes or to register for classes, please visit the Cerritos home page at cerritos.us and look for the on-line registration link. The program, eConnect, is best viewed with Internet Explorer. Before registering for classes on-line, print the eConnect User’s Guide for step-by-step instructions.
Only Visa and MasterCard will be accepted as payment. For additional information and/or to obtain the PIN numbers, please call the Library Reservation Desk at (562) 916-1388. Computers at the Cerritos Library may be used to access eConnect.

HOMEWORK TIME Homework Time is a homework help program for Cerritos resident students in grades 3, 4, 5 and 6. Session fee is $25. Students should bring their homework and a book to read or their library card to check out reading material to each class meeting. CARTOONING WITH DAVE BOATMAN Dave Boatman will focus on a safari theme in this class. CHILD AND TEEN READ ALOUD Children who are able to read are invited to participate in special read aloud sessions. These children will be teamed up with energetic teens during this weekly program. CONTESTS FOR TALENTED TEENS The Friends of the Cerritos Library will conduct the 16th Annual Teen Contests open to all students with valid Cerritos Library cards and attending grades 7 through 12. All entries must be original. Entry forms are available at the Library. Deadline for all entries is Friday, March 14 at 9 p.m. The themes for the contests are: Art: "Art/Architecture of Cerritos" (No larger than 12"x 18"and using any medium) Three-dimensional art will be accepted. Photography: "Magic of the Sun" (No larger than 8" by 10") Poetry: "Memories" (Up to fifty lines) Short Story: "Survival" (No more than 500 words)
Library Display
A NARRATIVE OF LIGHT AND SHADOW This exhibit, courtesy of the Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, features several black-and-white and color photographs by female photographers. This display, which highlights the culture of Taiwan, may be enjoyed March 1-31 near the Craftsman area of the Library.
