September 20, 2024
Attention Capitol Corridor passengers, construction is underway at the Richmond, CA, Station as a result of Amtrak’s ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Improvement Project. Platform access may be impacted but the station will remain open. This work will continue through May 2025.
What Capitol Corridor Passengers Can Expect:
Isolated areas of the platform will be under construction and protective barriers will keep passengers away from work areas.
In December, the stairs will be replaced which will close the platform and suspend service for three days. Buses will take passengers from Richmond to nearby stations during this time. Please check capitolcorridor.org for the most up to date schedules.
When the project is completed, the platform will be fully repaired, along with upgraded lighting, a new metal staircase from the tunnel/concourse, a repaired customer canopy and new signage.
Allow Extra Time – Don’t Miss Your Train
Please allow extra time to navigate the station and platform during construction.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Capitol Corridor passengers may call 1-877-974-3322 for train status and booking information or visit capitolcorridor.org.
