UPDATE ON POSSIBLE STRIKE

Update on Possible Freight Railroad Strike: Partial service on Thursday, 9/15/22Â
As a follow up to our message from Monday, we are anticipating a labor strike later this week involving the nation’s freight railroads. We initially expected we would need to suspend service starting this Thursday, however, we now know that we WILL be able to operate partial service on Thursday as shown below. If continued labor negotiations do not result in an agreement, Capitol Corridor will operate partial service on Thursday, September 15, 2022, and beginning Friday, September 16, 2022, all Capitol Corridor service would be suspended until further notice. We will reintroduce service as quickly as possible after the labor dispute is resolved. Visit our strike update page.
We will continue to provide updates to this situation as we learn more.Â

-
Train 531 will now operate from Sacramento to Oakland (formerly Sacramento to San Jose)Â

Fare Increase for Emeryville-San Francisco Bus Connection
Effective October 1, 2022Â
Effective October 1, 2022, there will be a fare increase for all tickets that include the Emeryville-San Francisco Bus Connection. This increase will apply to monthly, 10-ride, 6-ride, and one-way/round-trip tickets. Prior to this increase, the last fare change specific to the Emeryville-San Francisco route took place in June 2016. We are making this adjustment for connecting bus service based upon substantial increases in bus contract operating costs. While costs to run this service are rising, we have strived to keep the new fare on par with other transit agencies for transbay service. We expect to have the new fare charts available by next week.Â
