Service Advisory from Capitol Corridor

JULY 1, 2021

As you prepare for a fun July 4th holiday weekend, we have a couple of service items to share:

Weekend/Holiday Service on July 5
On Monday, July 5, in observance of the Independence Day holiday, Capitol Corridor trains and buses will operate according to our Weekend/Holiday Schedule.

New Connecting Bus Operator for Sacramento-South Lake Tahoe Route
We are excited to announce that effective Monday, July 5, El Dorado Transit will be our new operating partner for connecting bus service between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe. Fares and ticketing will be the same via www.capitolcorridor.org or the Amtrak app.

With this new partnership, the Stateline Kingsbury stop in Nevada is being  discontinued. Starting Monday, the final stop on this route will be the Stateline Transit Center on the California side of the state border. A new stop between Sacramento and Placerville has also been added at the following location:

Cameron Park/Cambridge Rd.
3943 Cambridge Rd.
Cameron Park, CA 95682

If you normally travel along this route, or plan to in the future, we encourage you to read the full news story on our website for additional details about the service.

We look forward to continuing to provide safe and convenient connecting bus  service along this growing segment of our service area in partnership with El Dorado Transit!
