Barracudas Swim Team
 Looking for an afterschool activity for your child? We've got you covered at the pool!
The Barracudas work with experienced coaches to build their stroke techniques, endurance, and confidence. The team has four levels: Beginners, Advanced Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced.
Prospective participants must complete a try out to be eligible for registration. Tryouts are held every Friday from 3:00 - 4:00 pm at King Pool; try-outs are held on a drop-in basis and do not require pre-registration.
Participants who pass the tryout will be recommended for a level and be placed on the tryout list. Families on the tryout list will be able register for the team.

 The Recreation Division is offering a new afterschool program for 6th-8th grade students.
The Afterschool Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program gives middle school students the chance to step into leadership, build confidence, and develop real-world skills through meaningful, hands-on experience.
As CITs, students work alongside staff, mentor younger participants, and learn the value of responsibility, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving in a fun, supportive environment.
The program will be offered at the following community centers:
Registration fee is $50 per month.

Join us for a family-friendly celebration of the recently completed capital projects at the Berkeley Waterfront.

Meet at the Doubletree Hotel Patio, 200 Marina Boulevard
Learn about the recently completed D and E docks and marina dredging projects, meet community organizations and businesses that connect people with the Bay, and explore the recreational opportunities that the Waterfront has to offer.
During the Waterfront Showcase, attendees can:
- Attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for D and E Docks, marina dredging, and electric vehicle charging stations at the Doubletree Hotel.
- Take a guided tour of the D and E Docks, with a chance to peek inside boats.
- Learn about boater amenities and how to rent a slip at the Berkeley Marina.
- Meet Waterfront community organizations and businesses.
- Bring kids to the Kids Zone for playtime and Bay-themed arts and crafts.
The event will start at the Doubletree Hotel’s patio. Light refreshments will be served.

Join us for a fast-paced, high-energy weekend of hoops!

Registration cost: $150 per team.
This exciting event brings together competitive and recreational players for a fun, community-driven basketball experience. Teams of three will battle it out in a half-court format that emphasizes speed, skill, and teamwork.
This tournament is open to adult players 18 years and older. Each team may consist of 3-5 players (including substitutes).
- Games played over a one-day tournament format
- Guaranteed games in pool play before playoffs
- Competitive and recreational divisions (if applicable)
- Referees for all games
- Championship prizes and recognition
