The City Council public hearing on zoning amendments to encourage middle housing, scheduled for next Tuesday, April 29, is CANCELED.
The reason for the cancelation is a public noticing error pertaining to one provision of the Middle Housing zoning changes: the amendment of the zoning map to rezone the R-1A zoning district to R-2. We sincerely apologize for this error.
Planning staff will remedy the error by meeting the noticing requirements of BMC Section 23.404.040 and conducting a public hearing at the Planning Commission on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 on the rezoning of R-1A to R-2.
Once the Planning Commission makes a recommendation on the zoning map amendment, the City Council can reschedule the public hearing on the middle housing zoning amendments.
