Ashby & North Berkeley BART Station Planning

The City of Berkeley Transportation and Infrastructure Committee (TIC) will meet on Thursday, June 20^th at 6:15 PM to review the North Berkeley BART Access Plan’s recommendation for a two-way bikeway on Virginia Street, which would be built as part of the planned Transit Oriented Development (TOD) at North Berkeley BART.  

BART will be presenting two options for one segment of the Virginia bikeway between Acton Street and West Drive:

• Option A: A wider bikeway that maintains the adjacent sidewalk width and removes 5-8 on-street residential parking spaces on the north side of Virginia Street between Acton Street and West Drive.
• Option B: A narrower bikeway that narrows the sidewalk and preserves 5-8 on-street residential parking spaces on the north side of Virginia Street between Acton Street and West Drive.
