As you know, both King Pool and West Campus Pool are set to undergo a Tile and Plaster Replacement Project that is being funded by a mixture of Measure T1 and General Fund. This project is important in keeping our pools maintained and operational into the future. We have met with the Contractor and below are the scheduled closure dates for each pool:
- King Pool will be closing Friday, April 15, 2022 at 12:30pm.
- Programs that were scheduled on Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday will be moved to West Campus Pool. Additional information will be sent to registered participants with details to transfer your swim or receive a credit.
- West Campus Pool will be closed starting Monday, April 18, 2022.
Both pools will be closed for at least a month. We are currently working with the Contractor to finalize the construction schedule and will share construction updates with everyone as they become available.
For additional details about the project, please review the linked off-agenda memo from March 23, 2022.

Before we drain West Campus Pool for our Tile and Plaster Replacement Project, we want to give dogs a chance to feel what it's like to swim in our pools, just like their humans do year-round.
On Sunday, April 17, 2022, join us for our 1st ever Doggie Dip Day! This will be a fun event that let's dogs take over the pool for one day only. We will have various activities planned including a Tennis Ball "Egg" Hunt, Doggie Recreation Swim, Splash Contest, Photo Booth, Puppuccinos and much more! No dog will leave empty pawed as treats and prizes will be available for each doggy participant.
Advanced registration and proof of current rabies vaccination is required for each dog. $15 per dog (no admission fees for humans, minimum one human per dog required). For more information or to register, please check out our online registration portal.

The West Campus Pool Filter Replacement Project that was set to take place this Spring has been postponed until Fall due to ongoing supply chain issues and our desire to assure that the pools are ready to operate for summer programs. This will result in an additional closure after summer programs have concluded. While we understand that a second closure is not ideal, this option will allow the pool to remain open for the greatest amount of time instead of keeping it closed until the new filters arrive and are installed.
We will continue to share updates as they become available.
