Register in advance and join neighbors from 9 am-12 pm
Join City staff, community groups, and volunteers from around Berkeley to help clean up trash and plastic pollution along various areas of the waterfront in celebration of Earth Day.
Cleanup activities on April 23 will take place from 9 am-12 pm, along various areas of the Berkeley Waterfront and Aquatic Park.
Register to volunteer yourself or a group and help preserve one of our treasures, the waterfront!
Register in advance to volunteer
Registering helps the event coordinators know how many volunteers will participate and prepare accordingly. Groups only need one person to sign the group up and can register up to 50 volunteers (including themselves).
All participants must fill out a waiver. If under 18, volunteers must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

Escape to the Sierra Nevada this summer with the City of Berkeley: we have sleepaway camps for youth, families, adults, and seniors.
You can swim in a lake, hike in the forest, enjoy meals cooked for you, or let your children explore the wonders of the high sierras with counselors. The cost is low. The reward high.
When you join us at either Echo Lake (near South Lake Tahoe) or Tuolumne camp (near Yosemite), you can participate in traditions shared by generations of Berkeleyans, or create new ones of your own with family and friends.
Signups have started, but there's room for more. Scholarships can cover up to the full cost. Use our recreation portal to sign up. See below for detailed instructions.
