Diversity in Tech Symposium Virtual Career Fair

Diversity in Tech Symposium Career Fair

The Expanding Diversity and Gender Equity in Tech (EDGE in Tech) initiative at the University of California is hosting a Virtual Career Fair at their Diversity in Tech Symposium on Advancing Climate Resilience on March 10 from 1-4pm that will allow startups supporting climate resilience to recruit top talent from UC Berkeley, Davis, Merced, Santa Cruz.

For Berkeley-based climate or cleantech startups, EDGE in Tech will waive the $1000 participation fee. Relevant areas of focus include alt meat, clean energy, energy storage, sustainable packaging, pollution reduction, or anything else in the green tech / clean tech space.

Bakar Labs is ready to welcome BioTech

Located in the renovated building that formerly hosted the BAMPFA, the Bakar BioEnginuity Hub (BBH) is Berkeley’s new home for innovation and entrepreneurship. The BBH contains Bakar Labs, an incubator managed by QB3 for life science startups which is currently accepting applications and welcoming tenants.

Upside Foods, a Berkeley-based company making cell-cultivated meat has acquired Cultured Decadence, a cultivated seafood company. WIth this acquisition, Upside is expanding their efforts to produce clean meat and create a new, more sustainable way to eat.
