Belmont Seeks Resident Volunteers for Commissions and Committees

The City of Belmont is inviting residents to apply for positions on various City Commissions. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026. Interested individuals can apply online, by calling (650) 595-7414, or in person at the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall, located at One Twin Pines Lane, Suite 330 (appointments suggested).

Planning Commission: Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays at 7 p.m. The Commission reviews planning applications and advises the City Council on zoning and land use.

Parks and Recreation Commission: Meetings occur on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. The Commission provides recommendations on parks and recreation programs and capital improvements.

Youth Seats on Parks and Recreation Commission: 2 openings for residents aged 13-17, with parental consent required. These are non-voting positions for one-year terms.
