Holiday Craft Faire
Let’s get in the holiday spirit! Our annual Holiday Craft Faire returns to Twin Pines Park on Saturday, November 22nd from 10am - 4pm. Over 70 vendors will fill the Senior and Community Center, Lodge, Manor, Cottage, and an outdoor location with one-of-a-kind handcrafted items. Parking is limited; please walk, carpool, or use public transportation if possible. This event is free and open to all.

Letters to Santa
This holiday season, youth can write a letter to the North Pole and get a free personalized response in return from Santa and his elves! Letters must be dropped off or postmarked to Santa’s special mailbox at 30 Twin Pines Lane by Monday, December 8th. Get more information here.

Medicare Made Simple Seminar
Confused about Medicare? You’re not alone. Join us on Tuesday, December 2nd at 10:30am in the Senior and Community Center for a free, no-obligation workshop designed to help you understand your Medicare options. Winter Wonderland Workshop
Join us for a magical workshop on Saturday, December 6th from 9am - 12pm at the Twin Pines Lodge. Lunar New Year Celebration
Save the date! Belmont’s Lunar New Year Celebration is back on Sunday, February 8th from 2 – 5pm at the Twin Pines Senior and Community Center! Join us as we welcome the Year of the Fire Horse with vibrant Chinese dances, live music, and more. If you’re interested in hosting a performance, please fill out the performer application here. Updates and Reminders
Upcoming Office Closure
The Parks and Recreation Office will be closed Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 28th. We will return on Monday, December 1st at 8am. For urgent matters during this time, please contact the Police Department at (650) 595-7400.
Open Space Trail Reminders
With the rainy season approaching, we want to remind all open space visitors to please stay off wet trails. Trails are closed during rain events for the safety of users and the land; please abide by all trail closure postings. If you leave a tire or footprint, it is too wet. The City of Belmont is now accepting applications for our next Poet Laureate (January 2026 – December 2029). This prestigious volunteer role celebrates poetry and the literary arts across our community. Traditional and Sensory Santa at the Firehouse and Toy Drive
Join us for our annual Santa at the Firehouse and Toy Drive, in collaboration with San Mateo Consolidated Fire, on Thursday, December 11th from 5:30 - 7:30pm at Fire Station 14 (911 Granada St, Belmont). This event is open to all ages and includes photos with Santa and beloved holiday characters, snow, hands-on holiday crafts, and refreshments.
While this event is free, we kindly ask that you bring at least one new, unwrapped toy for a child in need this holiday season. Get more information here.
Before our traditional Santa at the Firehouse event, Santa is excited to welcome youth with disabilities and those who would benefit from a sensory-friendly environment on Thursday, December 11th from 5 - 5:30pm at the same location. Attendees can meet and take photos with Santa in a calm, welcoming setting, enjoy hands-on holiday crafts, interactive activities, and refreshments. Advanced registration required here.
