Updates and Reminders
Twin Pines Park Global Directional Signpost
Have you ever been standing in Twin Pines Park and wondered how far you are from Belmont, North Carolina? or The North Pole? or Dublin, Ireland? Well then you are in luck because we will soon be installing a global directional signpost in front of the Parks and Recreation office. Before we get the signs installed, we need your help deciding what it should look like and where it should point! Take this quick survey and let us know what you would like to see.
New Publicly Accessible AEDs
The City of Belmont Parks and Recreation Department is proud to let our community know that we now have another publicly accessible AED in place. This new AED is located at McDougal Park on the corner of Charles Armstrong School, next to the exterior restrooms. This AED can be accessed and used during an emergency any time of day. All public AEDs in Belmont can be accessed by anyone by calling 911 and giving the location of the AED. 911 dispatch will provide you with an access code, which you will enter on the front of the AED case to open it, and then follow the directions prompted by the AED.
A big thank you to AYSO for the generous donation of the AED case.
