New Court Reservations
Belmont Parks and Recreation has partnered with Rec, a modern reservation and registration platform, to introduce a clear schedule of play and free court reservations at Alexander and Hallmark parks’ pickleball and tennis courts. Players can view a live schedule of play, reserve pickleball and tennis slots, and create an account at rec.us/belmont. Once players make an account, they will be able to book up to two court reservations per day and six reservations per week. The system uses mobile verification to confirm reservations.
In addition to the new reservation system, celebrate National Pickleball Day on Friday, Aug. 8, with free drop-in play at Alexander Park and Hallmark Park Tennis Courts! Swing by anytime between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to enjoy a fun day on the courts. It’s a great way to try the sport, meet other players, and celebrate the game we all love!

Public Works Highlights
Public Works Operations staff have recently trimmed trees to improve visibility and replaced several traffic signs. They filled nearly 20 potholes using over 600 pounds of cold patch material and replaced more than 17 tons of failed asphalt throughout the city. Staff is also working on multiple concrete projects, including one on eastbound Ralston Avenue just below Cipriani Boulevard. This project required a short-notice lane and sidewalk closure to ensure completion before school begins next week. Special thanks to our operations staff who set up and participated in National Night Out on Tuesday!
