Celebrating our Staff for Professional Municipal Clerks Week
Meet our exceptional City Clerk team who keep Belmont running smoothly and make a difference in our community daily.
Our City Clerk, Jozi Plut, is the kind of city leader who keeps the gears of local government turning while ensuring everyone’s invited to the table. She promotes transparency, clarity, and warmth in every aspect of her work, from drafting meaningful proclamations to fine-tuning City Council minutes. Whether guiding 2nd graders through City Hall on Civics Day or spotlighting heritage months, Jozi’s work keeps our community connected and informed.
Mara Perez, Deputy City Clerk, is spirited, sharp, and always ready to roll up her sleeves. Mara brings a “can-do” attitude to every corner of the Clerk’s Office. In addition to routing contracts and supporting internal stakeholders, she provides invaluable administrative support to the Executive Office. As she continues to learn the ropes of the municipal clerk world, Mara’s energy and natural warmth make her a rising star and a trusted go-to for staff across departments.
Thank you to Jozi and Mara for your commitment to excellence and for being such an integral part of Team Bemont!
 NDNU Graduate Award Recipients
As part of the May 3 Notre Dame De Namur University (NDNU) Commencement ceremony, the City presented Community Service and Leadership awards to three graduating NDNU students: Angelina Rubino, Dawn Leiro, and Chloe Banks.
Since 2005, Belmont has honored graduating NDNU students for exemplary service to the community. The award recognizes the spirit of volunteerism and leadership which are aligned with the City's core values. Whether inside or outside of city borders, these students' dedication to improving the lives of others significantly supports the greater good. Congratulations to Angelina, Dawn, and Chloe, and thank you for your contributions!
