Open Space Fuel Reduction
Starting in early May, vegetation management and fuel reduction services will occur along the emergency access roads in the Waterdog Lake and San Juan Canyon open space areas, including removing up to five non-native blue gum eucalyptus trees, all thanks to grant funding from CAL FIRE. These activities will be accompanied by grant-funded biological monitoring.
The contractor will be utilizing hand and machine treatments to assist with reducing hazardous vegetation. Please abide by all trail closure signs posted in the open space. We thank you for your cooperation! For questions, call (650) 595-7441 or email parksrec@belmont.gov.
