 May is Mental Health Month
On Tuesday, the City Council proclaimed May as Mental Health Month. A special thank you to Patricia Player Maxwell for accepting the proclamation on behalf of the Belmont Redwood Shores Rotary Club. In recognition, City Hall will be illuminated with green lights throughout May to honor mental health awareness.
The 2025 theme, "Mental Health as a Continuum," challenges the idea of mental health as simply “healthy” or “unhealthy,” encouraging everyone to embrace the full spectrum of mental well-being. San Mateo County Health offers a variety of resources and events throughout the month—learn more about how to get involved.

The contractor will be utilizing hand and machine treatments to assist with reducing vegetation. Please abide by all trail closure signs posted in the Open Space. We thank you for your cooperation! For questions, call 650-595-7441 or email parksrec@belmont.gov.

We’re hosting a community meeting on Monday, May 12, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Belmont City Hall (1 Twin Pines Lane, Belmont) in our Emergency Operations Center located on the 2nd floor to share HIA project updates and gather your feedback. The meeting will include a review of proposed street designs and draft development standards for new buildings, including building heights and setbacks. Join us for a brief presentation and an opportunity to share your thoughts!
