City of Belmont Emergency Preparedness Resources
The devastating fires in Southern California serve as a stark reminder of the importance of staying prepared for emergencies. To help our community stay informed and ready, the City of Belmont has launched two new webpages dedicated to emergency preparedness and updates.
-
Emergency Updates: This webpage will provide critical updates and announcements during emergencies. In addition to updating this page, we’ll share information on our social media channels and through press releases. To stay informed, sign up to receive City News directly in your inbox.
-
Emergency Resources: This webpage offers essential resources, including links to alerts like SMC Alert and Know Your Zone, as well as guidance for all-hazard preparedness.
We extend our deepest gratitude to first responders for their tireless efforts in aiding our Southern California neighbors, and we thank our Belmont community for prioritizing preparedness. Together, we can build a safer and more resilient future.

Infrastructure Insider
Public Works Highlights
This week, our dedicated Public Works Operations team worked hard to maintain and improve Belmont’s infrastructure. Crews responded to service requests, addressing red curb paint and filling potholes using over one ton of hot mix asphalt. They also replaced damaged street signs, traffic signal shades, and failed traffic and pedestrian signal bulbs for enhanced safety and visibility and completed construction of retaining walls at Ralston and Cipriani to relocate the traffic signal control cabinet.
