Belmont Seeks Resident Volunteers for Commissions

The City of Belmont is inviting residents to apply for positions on various City Commissions. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025. Interested individuals can apply online at www.belmont.gov/commissions, by calling 650-595-7414, or in person at the City Clerk’s Office located at One Twin Pines Lane, Suite 330 (appointments suggested).
Available Positions:

Planning Commission: 2 openings for three-year terms. Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays at 7 p.m. The Commission reviews planning applications and advises the City Council on zoning and land use.

Parks and Recreation Commission: 3 adult openings for two-year terms. Meetings occur on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. The Commission provides recommendations on parks and recreation programs and capital improvements.

Youth Seats on Parks and Recreation Commission: 2 openings for residents aged 13-17, parental consent is required. These are non-voting positions for one-year terms.

All applications must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office by the deadline. An electronic submission is acceptable.
