Public Works Highlights
Belmont's Public Works Operations team has been hard at work preparing Belmont Creek, from El Camino Real to Old County Road, for upcoming dredging scheduled next week. In preparation, crews have cleared all vegetation above the waterline and constructed a bypass system with dams and pumps, to dry out the creek bed. This system will be monitored 24 hours a day to ensure the creek remains as dry as possible until dredging is completed, anticipated by next Wednesday.
In addition to creek preparations, the team has refreshed lane striping, crosswalk markings, and red curb paint, filled potholes, replaced signs, and trimmed vegetation along the right of way throughout the city.
