 Excessive Heat Warning and Heat Advisory in Effect
A Heat Advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 until 8 p.m. Saturday, July 6.
Take precautions now to avoid heat illness:
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
- Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
- Wear lightweight, loose-fitting, and light-colored clothing.
- Stay in air-conditioned spaces as much as possible.
- Check on vulnerable friends, family members, and neighbors.
- Never leave children or pets unattended in vehicles.
The following air-conditioned spaces are available in Belmont on July 2 and July 3: Belmont Library 1110 Alameda de las Pulgas 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Twin Pines Community Center 20 Twin Pines Lane 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Please keep in mind, only service animals on leash are permitted at these locations. For assistance with pets contact the Peninsula Humane Society at (650) 340-7022 located at 12 Airport Blvd., San Mateo, CA 94401.
