Calling all youth ages 9-14! Lucky the Leprechaun's pot of gold has gone missing at the Barrett Community Center and he needs your help finding it before the end of the day! Join us on St. Patrick's Day from 4 to 5 p.m. for a scavenger hunt filled with Minute to Win It games, trivia, puzzles, and prizes!

Children's Bridge Maintenace
The Public Works crew performed preventive maintenance on the Children's Bridge over 101 this week. Staff cleaned the graffiti on the bridge, cleared debris, and changed several burned out lights. Learn about current Public Works projects.

Adaptive EGGventure Hunt
On Friday, March 29 at 4:30 p.m. we will host our first-ever Adaptive Egg Adventure Hunt. This a specialized event for individuals with disabilities of all ages. Bring a basket and search for 2,000 eggs and 4 golden eggs in Twin Pines Meadow, then snap a photo with our favorite bunny! Note: this event is separate from the larger Egg Hunt, which will occur the following day (information forthcoming). Learn more about the Adaptive Egg Hunt here.

Wedding Fair
Save the date for our second annual Wedding Fair at Twin Pines Park, Saturday April 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tour our facilities and outdoor areas, visit the wedding expo and meet local wedding vendors, win raffles, sample delicious treats, take photos, and more! Planning made easy, all in one day! This is a free event. Please register to attend here.

Lunar New Year Celebrations with the Belmont Library
The Belmont Library will be hosting a Lunar New Year event this Saturday, Feb. 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Local author Oliver Chin will read from his latest children's picture book, "The Year of the Dragon," the latest adventure in the popular annual series "Tales from the Chinese Zodiac." Children will also have the opportunity to learn how to draw a dragon and color zodiac animal-themed sheets. This multimedia presentation is perfect for the whole family and is suitable for children aged 4 and up.
After Storytime with Oliver Chin, a spectacular Lion Dance performed by the Joyous Spring Lion Dance Troupe will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Using drums, cymbals, and a gong, they put on a memorable performance giving life and energy to the acrobatic lions! Additional Lunar New Year public library events are available throughout San Mateo County.

Discover the Benefits of Caltrain Electrification
Caltrain has introduced a new webpage showcasing city-specific benefits of its electrified service plan, including information on frequency and travel time improvements for each station. Electrified service is coming in September 2024 and will feature faster travel times, more frequent trains including during weekends, and enhanced onboard amenities such as free Wi-Fi and electrical outlets at every seat.
