Cold Case Investigation Update

Lt. Pete Lotti – Belmont Police P.I.O.:
On May 10, 2023, investigators from the Belmont Police Department, along with the FBI and the San Mateo District Attorney's Office, conducted searches at Stulsaft Park and at 3789 Farm Hill Road in Redwood City in connection with the missing person's case of Ylva Hagner (1996).
Investigators are actively working on this case and have conducted numerous interviews and collected several items from various searches. The circumstances leading up to the disappearance of, and the whereabouts of Ylva Hagner are still unknown. This is an active and ongoing investigation. We appreciate your patience and will provide more updates as information becomes available.
We would also like to thank our partners at the San Mateo County Crime Lab and Coroner’s Office for their continued assistance in this case.
