February 13, 2026
Hello,
I spent the latter half of this past week with more than 500 of my city manager colleagues across the state at the CalCities Annual Conference, proudly bragging about American Canyon.
Keep an eye out in your mailbox for this year’s annual State of the City Report where we have so much to celebrate. We are pleased to kick off our State of the City Roadshow, beginning with our Town Hall meetings. These forums provide an opportunity to share what we’ve accomplished, offer a brief look at what’s ahead, and hear from you about what matters most. Please join us on:
-
Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 6:30 p.m. located at Canyon Oaks Elementary School in the Multipurpose Room
-
Thursday, Feb. 26, at 11:00 a.m. located at the Adult Activity Center
Supporting economic development is a team effort, and the City works closely with the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce to support our business community. As part of that partnership, they will be hosting a State of Business Luncheon on Thursday, March 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club. This event offers an opportunity to learn more about the state of American Canyon’s business community, hear from our public safety team and honor our Chamber members.
Thank you for your continued engagement and commitment to our community. I look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events and celebrating all that we’ve achieved together.
Take Care,
Jason B. Holley City Manager

As February continues, I want to again acknowledge Black History Month and the lasting impact of Black Americans in our community and across the nation. This is a time to reflect on the stories that have helped shape our history and to recommit ourselves to building a community rooted in equity, inclusion and respect for all. I encourage everyone to participate in local events and conversations that foster unity in American Canyon.
Last Friday, your City Council took part in our annual Strategic Planning Retreat — an important opportunity to pause, reflect and align on the priorities that matter most to you.
During the retreat, the Council spent time reviewing the results from the most recent National Community Survey and a recent Council survey which shared input from our residents. Based on this “report card," the Council revisited our goals and strategies to ensure our priorities remain aligned with American Canyon’s Vision, Mission and Values. Join us on Wednesday, Feb. 25 and Thursday, Feb. 26 for our Town Hall meetings to continue the conversation. Your input is essential to keeping us accountable and moving forward in a way that reflects the voices of our community.
I want to extend a sincere thank you to our City Manager, Jason Holley, for his leadership in guiding these efforts and helping turn community feedback and Council priorities into real, tangible outcomes. His dedication, along with the hard work of city staff, continues to make a meaningful difference for American Canyon.
I am also proud to share the Council's recently awarded Community Grants are being reinvested into American Canyon. Last weekend, one such recipient — the Napa Audubon Society — hosted a Beginning Bird Walk for bird lovers from across the Bay Area, including American Canyon at Wetland Edge Park. As you can see, these grant funds are already at work supporting local programs and services that our residents can see, feel and experience, strengthening our community and enhancing quality of life across the city.
Thank you for your engagement, your input and your continued partnership as we work together to build a strong and vibrant American Canyon.
Together in Service, Mayor Pierre Washington
