Felon in Possession of a Firearm Arrrest

AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., Feb. 5, 2026 — On February 4, 2026, at approximately 9:40 p.m., an American Canyon Police officer stopped a 2010 black Dodge Challenger for vehicle code violations, in the area of Newell Drive and Silver Oak Trail. The driver, 54-year-old Khalid Moore of San Francisco, was confirmed to be on active parole.

ACPD officers conducted a parole search of Moore’s person and vehicle. Officers found a loaded tan colored Glock 17 .9mm handgun and ammunition in the trunk of the vehicle. While placing Moore under arrest, he pulled away from officers and attempted to flee. After a very short foot pursuit he was taken into custody.

Moore was booked at the Napa County Department of corrections for numerous felony charges related to firearms, including felon in possession of a firearm, and resisting arrest. He is currently in custody on a parole hold with no bail.
