July 16, 2021
Hello,
Rainfall last winter was at an all-time low. Now is the time for action for all American Canyon water customers.
Next Tuesday, the City Council will be asked to declare a Stage 2 Drought Emergency. Our conservation efforts to date have started to work, but we need to redouble our efforts in order to meet our goals. You can do your part by signing up for the web portal to track your usage, reducing your outdoor water use and being mindful of your indoor water use. We will continue to post resources on our Facebook page so please check in there for more ways to conserve. In the meantime, please visit our Water Conservation webpage to see what resources you can utilize and how you can start conserving now.
On a happier note, I'm pleased to announce the promotion of Taresa Geilfuss as our new City Clerk. Teresa has many years of experience with the City and we're excited to see her perform in this new role.
Lastly, set your calendars for two fun upcoming community events next month. On Tuesday, August 3rd, it will be our National Night Out and on Wednesday August 4th will be the Chamber's next Meet Me in the Street. Hope to see you there.
Thank you and take care,
Jason Holley City Manager

AC Community Garden Volunteers Donate Fresh Vegetables to Faith Food Friday’s!
Our community continues to amaze us by coming together to create some great things. The volunteers in our AC Community Garden have been working together to donate the vegetables that are grown in the garden to Faith Food Friday's!
One of the volunteers, Jaime (pictured left) is holding a basket of 28 pounds of vegetables that were donated. Just another reason why it is so important to support these programs and take time to volunteer if you can. Volunteers across American Canyon are doing amazing things and we thank them!

Recycled Water Delivery Service
Using the right water in the right place has become the city’s main mission this drought season. We have the ability to save potable water and use recycled water that is made at our Water Reclamation Facility. The City now has 2 recycled water residential fill stations, 205 Wetlands Edge Rd and 151 Mezzetta Ct, each opened M – F 8am – 3pm and Saturday 9 – 11am. In a few weeks, the City will be starting a new service! We will start delivering recycled water to our residential water customers. Participation is easy, just follow these easy steps:
- Take the online training
- Obtain a water container either through the city or purchase your own.
- Fill out the delivery request form
For more information on how to obtain recycled water visit the city’s recycled water web page.

Zonehaven Information
Wildfire season is rapidly approaching and we want our community to be as prepared as possible. Napa County is introducing evacuation zones that will help ease the evacuation process if a wildfire was to break out. Watch this video by the Napa County Sheriff in English and Spanish.
