This Expo is an opportunity for community members to bring ideas and feedback on the Active Transportation Plan, the Street Tree Management Plan, and the Watershed Management Plan.
The Active Transportation Plan outlines opportunities to improve the City’s future bicycle and pedestrian networks.
The Street Tree Management Plan identifies ways to enhance our street trees citywide through planting, pruning and program management.
The Watershed Management Plan studies storm-related water flows and identifies best management practices. An updated plan is needed to assess current conditions, changes to the infrastructure over the years, drainage conditions, new regulatory requirements, challenges arising from climate change.

International Crepes Age: 18+ Date: May 22 Time: 5:30-8:30 Location: Albany Community Center Address: 1249 Marin Avenue
Crepes can be found in one form or another around the world, and they can be served as an appetizer, snack, salad, main entrée, or dessert. This class will teach how to make different batters and fillings and go over various techniques in spreading and stuffing crepes. Students will prepare different crepes, such as Blintzes, Chinese Muu Chu, and Crêpes Suzette.

This presentation will explore the importance of integrating native tree species into the “urban forest,” including street trees, park trees, city landscapes, and home gardens. Led by Elizabeth Lanham, Consulting Arborist, the talk will highlight the ecological and aesthetic benefits of using native species, while addressing the practical considerations necessary to create a resilient and thriving urban tree ecosystem.
