California Coastal Cleanup Day - Sept. 20

Trashure Hunt

Join the Trashure Hunt on September 20th! This year, California Coastal Cleanup Day will become the world's largest scavenger hunt. Special "trash" items will be hidden at cleanup sites all across the state. If you find one of them, you can redeem it for valuable prizes! Find your local cleanup site and learn everything you need to know about how to participate here.

Can’t make this event? Join CASA, Mission Blue San Francisco Bay Hope Spot, and DOER Marine for their monthly coastal clean up at Alameda Point. Rain cancels – so check the CASA Facebook page or sign up to the Google Group for updates.

Location: Sea Plane Lagoon Promenade 1801 Ferry Point, Alameda 94501.

Time: 10 AM – 12 PM on the second Saturday of each month.

Curbside EV Chargers are coming to Alameda!

it's electric locations

City of Alameda has partnered with It’s Electric to install the city’s first public curbside EV chargers. This milestone marks the beginning of an innovative collaboration that will expand access to EV charging across the island, allowing those who lack access to home charging to now be able to charge right in their neighborhood (and in many cases, right on their blocks).

Join Us at the Ribbon Cutting

The ribbon cutting for the first installed chargers with the Alameda Housing Authority (AHA) will be open to the public and held at 11am on September 22nd at 477 Eagle Avenue. RSVP here.

For Drivers

To use an It’s Electric charger, download the official “It’s Electric” app and request a cable. Drivers will be provided with a personal cable (fully compatible with their vehicle) at no cost. Cable distribution by It's Electric will begin this month in advance of the chargers going live.

Host a Charger

If you own a building or home, drive an EV, or aspire to, sign up to charge on the network or host a charger by joining the wait list. The chargers are financially sustainable for property owners because they are installed and maintained at no cost to the property and share a portion of charging revenue back to the property owner. Joining the wait list will also alert you when chargers are installed within walking distance of your house.
