Now is the Time to Electrify and Take Advantage of Federal and Other Clean Energy Rebates!

Electrify Alameda

While the 2026 Federal budget officially ended federal tax credits for electric vehicles and clean energy appliances, there is still time to take advantage of these incentives in 2025. The $7,500 credit for new electric vehicles and $4,000 credit for used electric vehicles are valid until Sept. 30, 2025. Many other credits for home improvements such as heat pumps, battery storage, weatherization, rooftop solar and other changes will continue until the end of the year.

State and local incentives are not impacted by the federal cuts. Visit SwitchIsOn.org to see the full list of available rebates to switch to electric vehicles and appliances, including more than 10 electrification rebates offered by AMP!

Other ways electrification benefits Alamedans is that Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) provides Alameda residents with 100% clean power and rates 45% lower than PG&E and the City has reduced permit fees for electrification measures.
