Learn how the City is responding to climate change, adapting to its impacts, and meeting our greenhouse gas reduction goals. The CARP was originally published in 2019, and the update includes updated vision and goals, and actions for climate action, hazard mitigation and adaptation. The updated CARP also encompasses the City’s Local Hazard Mitigation Plan approved by FEMA.

King Tides are back (again)! These are the last King Tides of the winter season, and they won't be back again until next winter.
Join OAAC community partner, Sacred Spaces, at the MLK Jr. Shoreline to observe and discuss how this tide combined with projected sea level rise will impact the habitat and recreation along our shore. Sacred Spaces is an environmental justice focused restoration project that creates a sanctuary for thriving habitats for wildlife and healing space for people to reconnect to nature.
