New EV Chargers at Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal

You can charge your electric vehicle (EV) during your next trip to San Francisco! The City of Alameda has installed EV charging stations covering ten spaces in the Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal parking lot. To offset costs, there is a modest rate for electrical charging (currently $0.40/kw/hr).

New Fees for EV Charging at Civic Center Garage

After many years of offering free EV charging at four spaces in the Civic Center garage, on March 1, 2024, the City will introduce the same rate per kilowatt hour there as at Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal. This is to offset costs and make a consistent customer experience.

Drivers will also need to pay for parking during the charging session using the kiosks on the ground floor. The current parking rate is $0.75/hour Monday through Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Information about the garage is at alamedaca.gov/parkinggarage.
