Last call for feedback about barriers to accessibility

The City of Alameda is committed to providing accessible programs, services, and facilities for people with disabilities. Please take this survey before midnight tonight to help us identify barriers to accessibility and create a prioritized ADA plan.

Giving Everyday

On this Giving Tuesday, please consider the Alameda Jammie Drive! This is the 11th year the Alameda community has been organizing this drive, where donors “adopt” a family and purchase winter jammies for them. You'll be making the holidays cozier for the most vulnerable in our community, including every one of the families at the Alameda Midway Shelter for women and children.

The annual Alameda Firefighters Local 689 Toy Drive is also back this year, collecting new unwrapped toys that go directly back to families in our community. Bins are being placed throughout Alameda in high foot traffic areas including fire stations, City buildings, coffee shops, and more!

Winter Lights this Saturday, December 2

Celebrate the season with us this Saturday, December 2, from 5:30-6pm in front of City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.

In addition to the tree lighting, the Tap Dancing Christmas Trees are back from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC and will perform along with members of the Alameda High Symphonic Band. See you there!
