Alameda County COVID Relief Grants Still Available for Child Care Centers

In July, 2022 the County of Alameda announced the launch of a $4 million grant program, allocated out of County American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, to support local Early Care and Education (ECE) for existing infrastructure needs and capacity building. One-time grants of between $2,350 and $3,350, depending on the size of the organization, are still available for eligible licensed Family Child Care (FCC) and Center-based programs located across Alameda County.

Child care centers affiliated with a Local Education Agency and/or Head Start Program are not eligible at this time.

GO-Biz Accepting Applications for California Competes Tax Credits and Grants Through August 15th


GO-Biz is accepting applications for the California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) and California Competes Grant Program (CCGP). There are $85 million in tax credits and $120 million in grants available during this application period for businesses that are expanding and adding quality, full-time jobs in California that might not otherwise be created by the business or any other business. The deadline to submit applications is Monday, August 15, at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time). The next application period will open on January 3, 2023 and run through January 23, 2023.

California Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grants Still Accepting Applications

Micro Loans  

The California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA) is still accepting applications for California Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grants. 

The program will award competitive micro grants of $2,500 to 715 eligible microbusinesses impacted by COVID-19 in Alameda County. The grants will be administered by Chabot-Las Positas Community College District and will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. Applications will be accepted until August 12, 2022 at 5pm.

CA Rebuilding Fund Low Interest Loans Still Available 

The California Rebuilding Fund is a public-private partnership to support California’s small businesses—especially those located in economically disadvantaged and historically under-banked areas of the state. Businesses who employed 50 or less full-time equivalent employees (FTEs) and had gross revenues of $5 million or below in 2019 are eligible to apply for loans up to $100,000 with a low, fixed interest rate of 4.25%.
