After a two-year pandemic pause, the City of Alameda was thrilled to host the Alameda 4th of July Parade, celebrating our country’s independence by bringing together our vibrant, diverse community. Many thanks to all 148 participants, including elected officials, marching bands, dance troupes, floats showcasing community groups and local businesses, equestrians, local government, and the U.S. Coast Guard.
Congratulations to the Cargo Bike Brigade for earning the 2022 Mayor’s Trophy.
First, second, and third place awards were presented to participants in the following categories: Business, Community/Neighborhood, Green Power, Live Music, Movement, and Nonprofit.

Vaquero Working Open First Place: Otaez Mexican Restaurant
Awards were also presented to the City of Alameda Parade Grand Marshals, Christine Chilcott, Al Mance, Cheryl Taylor, and Jolene Wright, the four members of Alameda’s Police Reform and Racial Equity Steering Committee.
