The Alameda County Fair has wrapped up after another wonderful year of fun in the sun! As we head into the heart of summer, I’m excited to share this week’s newsletter featuring important County updates, upcoming community events, and helpful resources for you and your family.
Below, you’ll find highlights from recent events, updates on business and innovation across District 1, job and workforce training opportunities, upcoming resource fairs, and more. It was a pleasure to join the Fremont Fourth of July Parade to
celebrate the 250th anniversary of Independence Day with the community. I'm grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, and came out to support this cherished tradition!
Thank you to all of our high school interns who came out in full force to hand out mini American flags and hand fans to parade-goers to help beat the heat! Your enthusiasm and service helped make the day even
more festive and fun!

My goal was simple: to listen, learn and connect. Hearing directly from local business owners, nonprofit leaders, and community partners about the challenges, opportunities, and ideas shaping our local economy was incredibly valuable.
I also appreciated seeing so many new connections made around the room. When businesses, organizations, and local government come together, we all become stronger partners in serving our communities.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate, and to Patelco Credit Union in Dublin for hosting us. I look forward to continuing the conversation and bringing our business community together again at
future Haubert Huddles!
 Each year, Alameda County youth in FFA and 4-H raise livestock for the Alameda County Fair, building valuable leadership, responsibility, and business skills through months of dedication and hard work. The Junior Livestock Auction celebrates their achievements while helping
support future ventures and college education.

This year, I was proud to support these young farmers by purchasing a dozen swine for donation to Alameda County food banks. Thank you to the youth exhibitors who raised these animals with care and commitment: Morgan Nielsen, Emma Phillipi, Anthony Fagundes, Kylie Lorier, John Gandolfo, Adalyn Hofmann, Autumn Clarke, Alexandria Wheeler, Emily Clarke, Kadence Gandolfo, and Mandi Lawrence.

Events like this are a powerful reminder that our food does not simply
come from a store shelf, it comes from effort and dedication of farmers
who provide the food that sustains our communities.
 This July, I was honored to join community, industry, and government leaders in celebrating two exciting milestones for Livermore's innovation community: the unveiling of Velo3D's new production campus and the opening of Inertia's House of Fusion.
Congratulations to both teams on these remarkable achievements. Velo3D, a Fremont-based company, continues to push the boundaries of advanced manufacturing through cutting-edge metal additive manufacturing, while Inertia is advancing the future of commercial fusion energy. Together, these companies are working to shape the future right here in Alameda County.
It's exciting to see this continued momentum in technology manufacturing and innovation across District 1. These investments strengthen our economy, create high-quality jobs, and further establish the Tri-Valley as a world-class hub for research, engineering, and advanced manufacturing.
These milestones also reflect the strong partnerships that drive innovation in our region. I'm grateful to our city partners, the Innovation Tri-Valley Leadership Group, i-GATE, and the many organizations working together to foster an environment where visionary companies can grow and succeed.
Congratulations again to Velo3D and Inertia! I look forward to seeing the lasting impact your work will have on our community and far beyond!
