Full Closure of Southbound I-680 in Pleasanton between Alcosta Boulevard in San Ramon and I-580/I-680 Connector in Pleasanton September 20-23, 2024
(In Case of Rain, Closure Will be Rescheduled)
From Caltrans:
"A full weekend closure of southbound Interstate 680 between the Alcosta Boulevard in San Ramon and I-580/I-680 connector in Pleasanton will take place Friday, September 20 through Monday morning, September 23.
Southbound Interstate 680 will be closed between the Alcosta Boulevard in San Ramon and I-580/I-680 connector in Pleasanton from 9 p.m. Friday, September 20 through 4 a.m. Monday morning, September 23, 2024. However, all I-580/I-680 connectors will remain open through right most lanes on southbound I-680. We encourage motorists to take alternative routes to alleviate traffic congestion within the construction work zone on southbound I-680 in the cities of San Ramon and Dublin.
In addition to full closures on southbound I-680, the far-left lane (Express Lane) and left shoulder will be closed on northbound I-680 between Amador Valley Boulevard in Dublin and Alcosta Blvd in San Ramon.
During the closure, the contractor will replace a portion of the existing deteriorated roadway with new pavement on southbound I-680, from Alcosta Boulevard to I-580/I-680 connector."

Medfly Quarantine in Portion of Alameda County-Fremont.
"A portion of Alameda County has been placed under quarantine for the Mediterranean Fruit Fly (Medfly) following the detection of one wild mated female in Fremont. The USDA, the Alameda County Agricultural Commissioner, and CDFA are working collaboratively on this project.
CDFA has successfully eradicated each and every detected Medfly infestation in California history, dating back more than 40 years
.
The quarantine area in Alameda County measures approximately 71 square miles, bordered on the north by CA-84; on the south by the boundary between Alameda-Santa Clara counties; on the west by the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge; and on the east by Calaveras Creek."
