The Alameda County Healthy Homes Department is dedicated to preventing lead poisoning and promoting home health and safety. We use a multidisciplinary approach to eliminate lead exposure and improve overall health outcomes. Our department offers various services, including case management for children affected by lead poisoning, community outreach and education, training programs, lead hazard reduction services, interventions to create healthy homes, and consultations. We also offer Housing Repair Services, though availability may vary by location. Our goal is to raise awareness of these services so that individuals and communities can take action to improve their living conditions and enjoy a healthier future.

 Free Tax Preparation Services
Alameda County Social Services Agency (SSA) VITA Program is providing no cost IRS certified tax preparation assistance to low-income families and Individuals.
Tax services are provided by appointment only - no exceptions. Services begin February 6, 2024.
