Dear District 1,
February marks the celebration of Black History Month, a time to honor the remarkable contributions and achievements of Black Americans throughout history. During this month, we pay tribute to leaders, visionaries, and trailblazers that endeavored to eliminate racial inequality in our country. From groundbreaking activists and cultural icons to pioneering scientists and inventors, their legacies inspire us to continue striving for justice and unity. I encourage you to explore the diverse narratives that define Black History, as our understanding of their journey illuminates the path toward a more inclusive future.
As always, if there is anything that my office can do to assist you regarding County-specific matters, please feel free to reach out at bosdist1@acgov.org. Your involvement is valued, and I appreciate your ongoing engagement.
Sincerely,
David Haubert Alameda County Supervisor District 1

Lunar New Year Celebration
Attending the Lunar New Year celebrations at Elliston Vineyards was a wonderful experience! It was a delightful immersion into vibrant cultural traditions, with captivating cultural attire, delicious food, and meaningful interactions with attendees. The atmosphere exuded joy as District 1 residents participated in the festivities. I sincerely thank Elliston Vineyards for organizing this event and providing an opportunity to partake in this cherished occasion (and to learn how to make dumplings!).

Run entirely by committed volunteers, Salaam Food Pantry embodies the spirit of selflessness and service. Located in Fremont, they serve underprivileged communities and operate on a carefully crafted schedule, highlighting the reliability of their services.
