Dear District 3 Community,
As we step into February, a month rich with cultural diversity and expressions of love, we eagerly anticipate engaging in meaningful celebrations that highlight our diverse heritage. February serves as a commemoration not only of Black History Month but also as a time of vibrant festivities surrounding Lunar New Year, the warmth of Valentine's Day, and the recognition of Presidents' Day.
During this month, we take a moment to honor the extraordinary achievements and heritage of the African American and Black community, acknowledging the invaluable contributions that have shaped our collective history. Simultaneously, we revel in the joy and significance of Lunar New Year, celebrated across various Asian countries, symbolizing renewal, prosperity, and unity with family. The celebrations extend to Valentine's Day, a universal tribute to love and connections, as well as Presidents' Day, which serves as a recognition of leadership in history. As we eagerly anticipate these events, let us come together to ensure they authentically reflect the diversity and unity that define our community. Check social media for more details on the upcoming celebrations!
