Bloom Energy: Fremont Multi-Gigawatt Factory
 Governor Gavin Newsom, State Senator Nancy Skinner, State Senator Bob Wieckowski, Fremont Mayor Lily Mei, and I celebrated the grand opening of Bloom Energy's multi-gigawatt factory in the City of Fremont. Providing more than 400 green jobs and renewable energy to Alameda County, Bloom's new factory exemplifies the opportunities available in an environmentally sustainable economy.

David Delivers
 Our office donated $4,000 to the Ohlone Humane Society in support of their mission to inspire respect and compassion for all animals, advocate for their interests and welfare, and instill in our community that all living beings have the right to be treated humanely. Their programs range from therapy dog team visits, fostering kittens, assisting the public with funding for spay-neuter services, to delivering pet meals to help our unhoused community keep their pets and families together.

Fremont
The City of Fremont began using NextRequest, a software program that allows members of the public to submit a request, communicate with City staff, and track public records requests online. The new software will help streamline requests with efficiency, allowing staff to fulfill records requests all in one place for cross-departmental coordination.
The City of Fremont Economic Development Department and Ohlone College have launched the expanded Smart Manufacturing Technology Back to Work (SMTech B2W) program, formerly known as the Earn & Learn Fremont (ELF) pilot program, aimed at assisting dislocated, English as a Second Language (ESL) workers by helping them establish careers in advanced manufacturing.
Join us this summer at the Central Park Performance Pavilion on Thursday evenings for the City of Fremont’s 2022 Summer Concert Series, brought to you by Washington Hospital and Fremont Bank. Our Concert Series has kicked off and will be held through August 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and will feature a variety of musical genres and performers. Concerts are free and open to the public.

On July 14, 2022, in a room of over 200 people, Mayor Bob Woerner gave his 2022 State of the City presentation during the Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce's Wine Country Event. A recording of the presentation will be available soon, but please enjoy the PowerPoint slide presentation along with notes to read an update from the mayor on various city developments, initiatives, and programs.
The Livermore Public Library will host A Taste of Africa Family Festival on July 23, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Civic Center Library. This is a family day connecting cultures from Africa and beyond with arts and crafts, drumming, and dance in partnership with Cheza Nami Foundation. All ages are welcome to attend this free event. Pleasanton
Beginning July 18, 2022, Pleasanton will launch a new pilot schedule with modified hours for the Permit Center located at 200 Old Bernal Avenue. In-person services at the Permit Center will now be available between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
