Vaccine Eligibility

Alameda County is currently vaccinating:

  • All Alameda County residents, ages 5+
  • The Pfizer vaccine is approved for 5+
  • Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are only approved for 18+

You are strongly encouraged to get a booster if you are at least 12 years old and:

  • 6 months have passed since your second dose of Moderna (for 18+)
  • 5 months have passed since your second dose of Pfizer (for 12+)
  • 2 months have passed since your Johnson & Johnson Dose (for 18+)

FREE Tax Preparation Services

VITA

Low and moderate income tax filers can now schedule appointments for no-cost tax preparation services through Alameda County Social Services Agency’s 2021-2022 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program!

Tax filers will need to create an account through the online Appointment Scheduler.

Tax services are provided by appointment only - no exceptions. Tax filers must present all required tax documents at the time of appointment. Appointments will need to be rescheduled if there are missing documents.

Berkeley Vision 2050 Community Meetings

Vision 2050

Berkeley Vision 2050 is a long-term plan to build, upgrade, and repair Berkeley’s aging infrastructure to be more sustainable and resilient in order to meet serious challenges of the future, including climate change.

In the coming weeks, the City will be holding virtual public meetings for Berkeley community members to share additional feedback on their priorities for addressing our most pressing infrastructure and affordable housing needs. Meetings will include a staff presentation and provide time for general comments and a Q & A session.

No matter their skill level, participants ages 3–12 will have the opportunity to try various hands-on activities for each sport. Athletes can meet the coaches, ask questions, and learn about opportunities in their community.

LGBTQ2+ Families Then and Now

LGBTQ Families

Brazelton Touchpoints Center is excited to launch LGBTQ2+ Families Then and Now! This new, FREE 6-week webinar series offers conversations with a diverse range of families who identify as LGBTQ2+ at different stages of family life, from those with young children to those whose children have “grown and flown.” The series aims to explore the changing landscape of LGBTQ2+ parenting during the last several decades. All are welcome to join these powerful conversations!

Series takes place every other Monday:

SEL & Engaging Young Men of Color

Please join OUSD's Office of Equity and Zymbolic for a virtual professional learning series focused on supporting educators working with Young Men of Color through evidence-based transformative social emotional learning (SEL) practices to change disproportionate outcomes for young men of color in our public schools.

Tuesdays, April 12 - May 17, 2022
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

This series is designed to be taken altogether so that participants can build on knowledge and engage in inquiry together around how to bring the learnings into practice in schools. Workshops will lift up student voice, provide activities that can be used to engage boys and young men of color, and deepen our understanding of their needs, hopes and dreams.

OEA Members, Classified Staff and UAOS Members will be compensated for Professional Development hours.
