About the speaker
A free presentation by the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) of Legal Assistance for Seniors. Legal Assistance for Seniors provides free legal representation and advice in the areas of elder abuse, guardianship, health law, housing, naturalization, and public benefits.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR NEWLY FORMING BUSINESSES

Program Description
This one-hour presentation will offer newly forming businesses legal information about choosing the right business entity and forming contracts. We will also go over employment law considerations and funding sources that are available to new businesses.
About the speaker
Julie Gilgoff is a staff attorney at Legal Services for Entrepreneurs, a program of Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area. In this capacity, she provides free legal services to low-income individuals who want to start or develop businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has also worked at the Sustainable Economies Law Center, offering legal advice to local businesses at their Legal Cafes, and specializing in cooperative housing models.
