Dear District 1,

On February 12, Dublin Police Deputy Aubrey Phillips, a five-year veteran of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, passed away. Our law enforcement officers face incredible danger, and Deputy Phillips’ death reminds us of the sacrifices officers make to keep our communities safe. My heart goes out to Deputy Phillips’ family, and I pray that Deputy Phillips rest in eternal peace. I encourage you to donate to the Alameda County Sheriff's Charitable Foundation to assist Deputy Phillips’ family. To learn more about how you can donate, please click here.

If there is anything that my office can do to assist you regarding County-specific matters, please feel free to reach out at bosdist1@acgov.org

Sincerely,

Haubert E-Signature

Downtown Sunol Beautification

Staff from the Economic & Civic Development Department (ECD) joined me on a tour of downtown Sunol to listen to the needs of business owners and community leaders. We heard great ideas to beautify the area, to improve pedestrian safety, and to create a more business-friendly permitting process.  ECD staff offered to assist the community to plan for and implement these exciting ideas.

Masking Update

mask

As of February 16, the Alameda County Public Health Officer rescinded Public Health Order 21-06 which mandated masking for all individuals in the County of Alameda in indoor public spaces, regardless of vaccination status. By rescinding Order 21-06, the County aligns itself with State, following California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidance on face coverings.  Under the CDPH’s guidance, only unvaccinated individuals over the age of 2 years will need to continue to use face coverings in most indoor settings.
