| Dear District 3 Community, The County of Alameda is committed to keeping the public informed as we work together to stop the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). For up-to-date data and answers to frequently asked questions, visit ACPHD's dedicated COVID-19 web page. It is an honor to serve you. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any comments, questions or concerns that you may have regarding the district or Alameda County. Sincerely, ![]() Wilma Chan ![]() Celebrating a Safe and Healthy Halloween & Día de los MuertosMany commonly celebrated Halloween and Día de los Muertos activities carry risk for spreading COVID-19. ACHPD encourages community members to limit celebrations to small, outdoor gatherings and implement extra safety measures – especially when everyone is not vaccinated – to help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. As a reminder, costume masks do not provide protection from COVID-19 and, for safety reasons, do not wear Halloween costume masks over a protective cloth mask. If participating in traditional trick-or-treating, wear a face mask or keep your distance from others, and sanitize your hands to help reduce your risk of getting COVID-19. ![]() Volunteers Needed for Free Tax Assistance ProgramThe Alameda County Social Services Agency (SSA) needs volunteers for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program!
