Please do not hesitate to contact me with any comments, questions or concerns that you may have regarding the district or Alameda County. Sincerely, Wilma Chan Weekly Vaccine UpdateThe CDC recently published a study demonstrating the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines in protecting people from contracting COVID-19, including the now dominant and more contagious Delta variant. The study also demonstrates that, for the few vaccinated people who do contract COVID-19, the vaccines significantly reduce the risk of hospitalization or death from COVID-19. In Alameda County, the COVID-19 case rate is approximately 3 times higher among unvaccinated cases compared to vaccinated cases. Visit the Alameda County Public Health Department’s (ACPHD) COVID-19 Vaccine page to find an appointment near you!
