Weekly Vaccine Update

The CDC recently published a study demonstrating the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines in protecting people from contracting COVID-19, including the now dominant and more contagious Delta variant. The study also demonstrates that, for the few vaccinated people who do contract COVID-19, the vaccines significantly reduce the risk of hospitalization or death from COVID-19.

In Alameda County, the COVID-19 case rate is approximately 3 times higher among unvaccinated cases compared to vaccinated cases.

Visit the Alameda County Public Health Department’s (ACPHD) COVID-19 Vaccine page to find an appointment near you!

Alameda County Climate Action Plan Survey

Alameda County is developing a Government Services & Operations Climate Action Plan and needs your input on how to build resilience into community services. Take the Alameda County Climate Action Plan Survey by Sept. 30 to share your perspective – and enter to win a $100 gift card! The survey is also available in Spanish and Chinese.
