I am pleased to invite you to my 9/11 Memorial Ceremony. This 20th-Anniversary Ceremony will be on Saturday, September 11th, from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. at the Alameda County Fairgrounds Amphitheatre, 4501 Pleasanton Ave, 94566. Enter at Yellow Gate on Pleasanton Avenue. Please park at the ACE Train Parking lot.

Twenty years ago, our nation was attacked, and 2,977 people were killed, and thousands more were injured at the World Trade Center in New York City. We lost family members, loved ones, and our first responders. We are asking you to join us to take a pause and remember all those who lost their lives on that tragic day. We have multiple agencies joining us to speak, such as Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, Alameda County Fire Department, Pleasanton-Livermore Fire Department, Camp Parks, and a special guest speaker.

To RSVP, please scan the QR code on the flyer posted below or Click HERE

Many Fremont residents and businesses have asked how they can help our Afghan community members during this incredibly difficult time.  The City of Fremont’s Human Services Department has established an Afghan Refugee Help Fund to be used for food, shelter, clothing and other items or services to assist refugees expected to arrive in our area.  The City’s Human Services Department will work with local Afghan partner organizations to determine the priorities and needs in our community.  No donation is too small!

Visit the City’s website at www.Fremont.gov/ARHelp to make a donation now!

To make a donation by check, make check out to City of Fremont, with AR Help noted in the memo, and mail to City of Fremont Human Services Department, P.O. Box 5006, Fremont, CA 94537-5006.
