Updates from the Alameda County
Public Health Department

The Alameda County Public Health Department (ACPHD) has launched Beyond the Blueprint, a new webpage dedicated to providing the community with information and updates on local ordinance changes in Alameda County as the State of California lifts restrictions for most businesses and activities

ACPHD is also offering two town hall webinars for Alameda County community members and for the Alameda County business community:

  • Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM: Alameda County Community Update: Moving Beyond the Blueprint. Register for the town hall online (please note: registration is limited for the town hall, but event will be livestreamed).
  • Monday, June 21, 2021 from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM: Employer-Based Beyond the Blueprint Update. REGISTER HERE for the employer-based webinar.

For questions about these upcoming events, please email COVIDrecovery@acgov.org.

“Food Prescription” Bill Update

While Assembly Bill (AB) 368, Food Prescriptions was held in the Assembly Appropriations Committee, we are continuing to fight for funding to expand food prescriptions in California!

The $1.65M budget request would fund pilots in Alameda, Fresno, and San Bernardino counties to provide Food Prescriptions for fruits, vegetables, lean protein and other healthy food to Medi-Cal beneficiaries with diet-related health conditions.

By addressing health disparities upstream, we can close the disparity gap and help impacted communities build resilience. The food prescription pilot is a critical step in that effort.
