Even after getting the COVID-19 vaccine, it is important to get tested if you have symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 or if your job requires that you get tested. If you are vaccinated and have been exposed to the virus, you may spread it to others, even though you are protected.
Have questions for the COVID-19 Vaccine? There is a new Vaccine hotline - 510.208.4VAX, it is English/Spanish/Mandarin and will assist you in other languages.
Last week I had the opportunity to tour Tule Ponds at Tyson Lagoon in Fremont with Dr. Joyce Blueford. This place has beautiful wildlife, ponds, a hut made by Eagle Scouts, and so much more. Make sure you check on this amazing location.

I had the pleasure to visit individuals and a company this past week in Fremont. Evolve Manufacturing Technologies has partnered up with Ohlone College and started the Earn and Learn (ELF) Pilot Program. This program is for individuals that got lay-offed from their jobs due to COVID-19. These individuals worked and went to school to earn their certificate in Manufacturing, and graduation was last week. Evolve is also focusing on making ventilators and COVID-19 test kits during this pandemic.

I had the chance to visit a Mobile Vaccine Clinic at the Lowry Mosque in Fremont. Support Life Foundation and FEMA were able to vaccinate hundreds of individuals in the community.

“It’s all about helping each other out during these difficult times,” he said
