New Falck Ambulance Hub
Falck Ambulance, Alameda County’s 911 ambulance service provider, has recently received a Conditional Use Permit from the City of Oakland - moved out of ta emporary space on Mandela Parkway - and moved into a new space near 4th and Fallon, in the Jack London area.
The strategically located deployment hub serving Northern Alameda County keeps ambulance services close to the heaviest call volume area, providing swift response times to calls with the most serious medical needs. Falck will deploy about 19 ambulances out of their newly remodeled hub, in addition to several specialized CATT (Community Assessment and Transport Teams) vehicles with highly trained crisis response teams responding to patients who may have mental health needs.
The Fallon hub allows ambulances to be parked inside where they can be re-stocked daily. Employees will have access to showers and a large break room with plenty of room for administrative staff offices. The new HQ is close to Peerless Coffee and East Bay Restaurant Supply, with the Oakland Fire Department training facility across the street. Falck looks forward to welcoming the community to an open house soon to show off their new Oakland home.
You can keep up with Falck on their website at https://falckalco.com/.
